About Me

My photo
As a lover of beauty, be it flowers, a sunrise/ sunset, or a smile on a loved one's face, I have always loved creating. As a child, I was fascinated by the sky and clouds, fantasizing about all sorts of things. I guess I never lost that since of wonder and seeing the beauty in life and nature. This has led me down many a creative road and to the present and my artistic endeavors w/ mixed media, collage and jewelry design.

2010 Year's end Artistically

As another year draws to a close, through the prompting of a fellow flyer, I am sharing some of my journey since having met up with 700+ flyers who took Kelly Rae Roberts class this past Summer.
Some of the artwork seen here is from a year or two back, but have not been shared with anyone other than family or a few friends. Here goes.

Since I was a little girl, I have always loved looking at the clouds and imagining all sorts of things. I guess it was only a mattter of time before they appeared in my artwork Smiles.

I'm an addictions counselor and made was inspired to make different art pieces as encouragement to my clients and others trying to make changes in their lives. (Change is often tough for many people, me included).

In light of the celebration of birth and the new babies we welcomed into our family (Some seen in previous blog entries :)) I created this 1st birthday celebration piece with "Found relatives."

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year and I have created several works ode to this time of the year.

This is a pair of simple sterling silver and aqua dangle earrings I made my niece for Christmas.

A big step for me this year was to have a booth in one of our local art and gift fairs this past November. It was kind of scary for me to put my work out there to be judge, but it has been a good and learning experience. How else will we grow and see what people are interested in or not?

Happy New Years. Lancia
